I realize this is becoming a "kitten blog," but it takes such a short amount of time for them to go from looking like baby rats to being adorable, fuzzy, playful, busy little kittens. Honestly, they have been so fun to have around and play with on a daily basis. Any way... Here are some of the most recent photos...

The kittens were 4-weeks-old on Thursday, and they're getting so incredibly cute! They're pretty close to taking over!

All My Kittens

It's pretty difficult to guestimate the birthdate of kittens, but I came pretty close... I just knew Chuckles would have her babies on July 18th. So, we planned our vacation for July 14th - 17th. And, wouldn't ya know it, she went and had her babies on the 16th. Thank goodness my mom was here to play midwife!

Baby #3 is all white, except for one tiny little spot on the top of his head!

Chuckles and her beautiful babies!

She had 4 of the most adorable babies, ever!!!

Baseball, Hotdogs, and Apple Pie

To be perfectly honest, holidays in a family of TWO really aren't that exciting, but Jesse and I do the best we can. So, on the 4th of July, thanks to a sale on Johnsonville brats, we had hot dogs (or at least something that resembled hot dogs). Then, a trip to Safeway (and $5) produced a Dutch apple pie. And, for the BIG stretch, we enjoyed the Goodyear fireworks display at the NEW Cleveland Indians (baseball) spring training field. Seriously, after sweltering in the 106 degree heat for a couple of hours, one really needs to justify choosing to sit there. Fortunately, the finale didn't let us down!

Poor Bailey!

Last Friday we took both Sassy and Bailey to the mobile neutering station. By Saturday Bailey was back to his normal self. Sassy was pretty lethargic. On Monday things changed; Sassy was up and running around as usual, but Bailey was limp and barely moving. We made an appointment for him that afternoon, to find out that his incision was doing well, but he was having some trouble with his urinary tract. Talk about a rough week! Poor thing just looked pathetic. The vet gave him a shot and a bottle of amoxicillan and told us to keep an eye on him. He's showing signs of recovering, but I'm still pretty worried about him. He goes back to the doctor on Monday... Hopefully he'll have some good news for us.

Cherries, Strawberries and Grapes

One of the very best things about summer is the fruit... Gotta love 'em!

Strawberries
And, grapes!
