plane + school = fire

This didn't really affect me directly, but I felt it was news worthy, and possibly something I will remember in the future, so here goes... A small plane taking off from the Springerville airport crashed into Round Valley High School, in Eagar. I know several students that attend/attended the school, as well as several employees. Fortunately, the building was pretty much empty (thanks to it being summer), and the area that was damaged the most was locked. They say every one got out safely, but the people on the plane did not survive.

It was weird hearing the local news break in and announce the crash in Round Valley, seriously I thought I was mistaken. It was just as weird to see all the damage.

birthday gifts

This year my very favorite birthday present was summer break starting at 1:20pm, that day. Several of my students made it even better, by briging me birthday presents. Apparently, if I didn't teach them anything else, they all learned that I like Pepsi and chocolate.
