Haven't posted anything lately, mainly becuz I don't feel like I have anything to share. So, this post isn't really dedicated to anything besides "just stuff."
To begin with, the school year is finally over... Whoooo! Hooooo! Yippee!!! Picture me do cartwheels and toe touches!!! Actually, the school year went by pretty quickly, but since AIMS, in April, the kiddos were done with school. They were loud (no VERY LOUD) and unruly. Getting them to follow a direction was almost impossible. And the complaining... "The other teachers aren't giving us work... " "School's almost over... " "Why do we have to do this?" Any way, I tried to keep them busy with a group project... oral presentation... doing a persuasive infomercial. Gave them a week's worth of class periods to work on it, but believe it or not, a lot of them chose to play, instead of work, and trust me, it showed on presentation day. These are some of my homeroom kids... Katera

On a brighter note, the learning fair (What do you know about sharks?) was a HUGE success for 7th grade... Everyone seemed t;o love what we did. But, that too was pretty stressful. The original plan, to have a life-size, paper mache', great white shark, did NOT work out. Part of that was my fault, as I was out of school for a few days, but apparently I was a little overly enthusiastic about what I thought 7th graders could do. On the second to the last day of school the poor "shark" made its way to the dumpster... In many... many... pieces!

My mom took me and Jesse to the Sugar Bowl (in Scottsdale) to celebrate our birthdays. They make the BEST turkey salad, and ice cream sundaes!!! Afterwards, we went to some of the galleries; I found a beautiful Mexican-type dress; it's white and embroidered with lots of bright, lively colors. I also found a cute storyteller (a cat with kittens reading books). Mom saw me "drooling" over it, and the next thing ya know, my mom's offering to buy it as my birthday present... I LOVE it!
A couple weeks before my birthday, Jesse surprised me with a "Rufus pin." He took a picture that I drew, shared it with one of his co-workers, and Voila'! A pin! It's adorable!
I mentioned earlier that I missed a few days of school, that's becuz I ended up with an infection in my jaw/tooth. I have never experienced anything so painful in my entire life. I went to the dentist, but the infection was so bad that the pain killer was not working... Even after 5 shots! So, I ended up needing oral surgery. And, while I was at the dentist, she suggested I get my wisdom teeth out, also, so on June 10th I went back and had 4 more teeth removed, surgically. I gotta say, it's kinda painful! Eating is difficult, but the ice cream and pudding are both YUMMY!
BIG NEWS: Linda and Bill are moving out on Tuesday - June 14th!!! I had to give up my summer vacation, but in the long run, it's gonna be worth it. They have been living with us for about 15 months, for FREE! They've paid for nothing, and pretty much expect us to give them what they want (such as their cell phones). But, come Tuesday, I am no longer responsible for them... NOTHING! Jesse and I are getting pretty excited about this! We'll have: our guest room back, both refrigerators, ice in the freezer, paper towels, TWO bathrooms, and just a bunch of other little things, that have turned into BIG things... Yippee!!!
