Day #1:
Cleaned! Washed down the ceiling fans, vacuumed so I could shampoo carpets. And, best of all... Hired a guy to pull the weeds in the front yard!
I also practiced the piano (something I haven't done for a while) and took pictures of some pretty adorable critters!
Day #2:
Intended to wash the cabinets and walls in the kitchen today, but talked myself out of it (somehow that's not hard to do!). Instead, however, I decided to clean out my closet. This is something I've been meaning to do for a while, but again, laziness always seems to get in the way. Any way, I filled 2 big garbage bags with clothes to donate, and got rid of 9 pairs of shoes that I never wear. YES, this does seem like a good excuse to go shopping, but unbelievably, there's really NO room! I did manage to get things a little more organized, such as putting all the black pants together, and white pants together... I got rid of a ton of plastic hangers, and have most of my shirts/blouses on the fancier hangers. It's a BIG job done, and maybe tomorrow I'll work on those cabinets.
Day #3:
Actually managed to wash down those kitchen cabinets this morning. It was a BIG job! First, I took down all of the teddy bears, and gave them a bath. I washed the cabinet doors, first, then brought in the ladder and scrubbed down the tops, where the cats made a mess. Finally, I redressed the teddy bears, and put them back up on top of the cabinets. it took most of the morning, but it's done, and I'm glad!
Did another kitty photo shoot; eventually I plan to update the pictures to the right!
Day #4:
Happy St. Patrick's day! Not very exciting. I got up and made chocolate chip cookies.
But, after that, I didn't get much done... kinda sick all day.
Day #5:
Was a little slow going this morning, but I did get a load of laundry finished, so I could start packing for our trip to San Diego (tomorrow). I also managed to run and then empty the dishwasher. I realize this sounds crazy, but I hate emptying the dishwasher, so this was a huge feat for me!
I also cleaned out the linen closet... One of those jobs that I've been meaning to do, but...
And, when Jesse got home, we went to Wal Mart; he did the shopping, while I got my toes done! Had to get ready for Cali!!!
If you look at this picture sideways, you'll see palm trees, birds and the sun!
