What do you know about sharks?

The Avondale School District always uses the last month or so of school working on a learning fair. This year, the 7th grade has chosen "What do you know about sharks?" as our leading question. So far, every student has chosen a different shark to research, and they're working on a project for my class. Plus, in math and language they've been drawing 1/2 size displays of their sharks, to create a mural for the walls.

On Friday, we went on a field trip to the SeaLife aquarium, at Arizona Mills Mall. I'm just going to put this out there... I would not take another field trip there. Not that it wasn't enjoyable, there just wasn't enough to keep the kiddos focused, and what was supposed to be a 3 hour field trip was more like 90 minutes. That meant finding something to do with 100 kids for the next 90 minutes. Fortunately, we had some wonderful chaperones, who ad libbed with their groups, and in the end the kids were happy and exhausted!

Here are a few pictures...
